Tom Visney and I went to see the Byrds at Aire Crown Theater one night in the middle of the week. He did not believe me that McGwynn could play the solo on Eight Miles High. I bet him because I saw the Byrds do it live for the first time at Culver-Stockton College in Canton Missouri, in 1966 before it was released on vinyl. Anyway, for $2.50 seats they ended the set with Eight Miles High and closed the curtain while the band played on, and then the chicks chased them down State Street tearing off their clothes so they wrote this one.
